Teresa A. Hubka, D.O., F.A.C.O.O.G., F.A.C.O.G., CS, OB/GYN
Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
A native of San Diego, California, Dr. Hubka received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of California at Davis, and her Masters Degree in biology and nutrition science from the University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, CT. Dr. Hubka completed a dietetic internship at Alvarado Hospital and Medical Center in San Diego and worked as a registered dietician in both hospital and private practice settings.
Dr. Hubka received her osteopathic medical degree (DO) from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She completed an osteopathic internship at Atlantic City Medical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey, as well as a residency in obstetrics and gynecologic surgery at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, where she was the Chief Administrative Resident.
Dr. Hubka is dual board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOOG) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecology (ACOG). She has been practicing medicine for 20 years and during that time she opened her private OB/GYN practice in Lincoln Park as a solo practitioner and founded Comprehensive Wellness Care - a practice which incorporates Obstetrics and Gynecology, Family Medicine, Integrated Behavioral Health, Fitness, and Fertility education located in Lincoln Park, which provides complete health services to all demographics of women. Dr. Hubka also practices at Resurrection Medical Center, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, as well as Ascension St. Joseph - Chicago.
Dr. Hubka is a Fellow of ACOG and a Distinguished Fellow of ACOOG. She is the Department Chair and a clinical professor of OB/GYN at Midwestern University in Chicago. She is a Costin Scholar in Medical Education and has been inducted into the American Osteopathic Association's Mentor Hall of Fame. In addition, she is also the Residency Program Director at Ascension Resurrection Medical Center.
Nationally, Dr. Hubka is a Board of Trustee of the American Osteopathic Association. She was the 2011-2012 President of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists and serves on many national women's health councils. She was also the 2010-2011 President of the American Osteopathic Foundation - the first female President in 60 years, and has held many national positions within the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Hubka is past President of the Illinois Osteopathic Medical Society and also of the Des Moines University, Alumni Association. Dr. Hubka was recently named, yet again, in the Chicago's Magazine as "Top Doctor" in women's healthcare 2022. She has also received multiple awards for her leadership and service in education and women's health issues.
